Finished Size :  16" long not folded in half / 8" folded in half & 4 1/2 " wide

 

 

Yarn Used :

Lion Brand Wool

Color Used : Winter White

158yds / 144m - 3oz. / 85g

Less than a whole ball was used

 

Any worsted yarn will do!

 

 

Needles & Notions :

US Size 7

Row Counter if needed.

Cable Needle or DPN

Ribbon

 

 

Abbreviations :

K = Knit

P = Purl

CO = Cast On

 

s1 = slip one st. from left needle to right needle without knitting

 

yo = yarn over

 

C6B = place next 3 sts on cable needle, k3, then k3 from cable needle

 

DD = (double decrease) on 3 sts, slip 2 sts {as if to K} to right handle needle, k1, pass both slipped sts over k sts together, and drop them.

 

k2tog = k 2 sts together

 

psso = pass slipped st over k st.

 

 

 

Pattern

 

Notes : Mult. of  11 plus 6

 

CO 28

 

Knit 2 rows

 

Row 1 & 5 : k6 * yo,  s1 purlwise, k1 (psso), k1, k2tog., yo, k6.

Row 2, 4, 6 : purl

Row 3 : *C6B, k1, yo, DD, yo, k1 * to last 6 sts, C6B.

Row 7 : *k7, yo, DD, yo, k1* to last 6 sts, k6.

Row 8 : purl

 

Rep these 8 rows for desired length or 16".

End with Row 7.

 

Knit 2 rows.

BO (wrong side)

 

 


 

Finishing

 

Sew up side with wrong sides facing each other to about 1" from top.

Run ribbon around top through lace holes, and behind cables (about 1" from top )
